About Us

Orangetree Internet Services, L.L.C., is located in Santa Cruz California. We specialize in domain registration services, website hosting, website design and maintenance, and Internet/Intranet custom applications for small to medium size businesses, non-profits, and niche organizations. Our expertise includes MySQL, Perl, PHP, HTML, XHTML on Linux using the Apache webserver.

Orangetree Internet Services, L.L.C., also partners with major web hosting solution providers and major domain registration services to make your transition to the web as easy as possible, providing a single source for all of your internet/intranet needs.

Orangetree was established to provide a trustworthy source of information for those seeking to move their businesses to the internet, which can often be a confusing, time-consuming, and risky task. Having so much to do just to maintain the day to day operations of owning a business, introducing new technical challenges to small business owners can prevent them from establishing a web presence. As a result, Orangetree was established to provide a single source of technical expertise to business owners.

My personal experience and background includes having worked professionally in several different industries through the years:

  • As the Webmaster for the City of Palo (1998-2004), I was responsible for the development and maintainence of the City's internet and intranet. I formally taught many different training classes to city staff including HTML, Perl, Dreamweaver, CSS, Internet Research and others. I also provided technical web development services to surrounding cities including East Palo Alto, Atherton, Woodside, and Los Altos through the Information Technology Service Provider program, as well as on-going technical training classes.
  • SGML Applications Developer (1994-1998) for Aircraft Technical Publishers, where I developed SGML based applications for publishing Aerospace maintenance documentation and responsible for the development and maintenance of the Intranet.
  • Programmer Analyst (1990-1994) with Commerce Clearing House, Inc. where I created some of the first SGML based systems to publish case law Citators and Finding Devices using Datalogics.
  • Programmer at Twin Hills School (1986-1990) and developed applications for the creation and maintenance of course catalogs, student credit histories, trimester registration, student locator cards, and reconciliation reports. (education)
